Fatten up your regular old Tuesday routine this Mardi Gras, February 13th. We celebrate Fat Tuesday every year - even if it's just a quick and easy dinner after work and track practice. There's just something fun about breaking up the weekly routine and making a Tuesday special!
Keep it simple - pick up a box of Zatarain's red beans and rice, smoked sausage, a loaf of french bread, and a king cake from the local bakery. Voila! Dinner is on the table in less than 20 minutes!
And, the party isn't complete without table decor! Set your table with rich purples, golds and greens - linked-up ivy, garden gate ochre and latticework aubergine are the perfect Hen House linens for your celebration. Throw some Mardi Gras beads in a glass vase or bowl and add masks, crowns or colorful fans for height. For the finishing touch, fold your napkins in a festive fleur-de-lis shape (tutorial below).
