I am a very sentimental person, and some of my treasures are the vintage tablecloths I inherited from my grandmother. Starting in the 1950s, these tablecloths graced her tables for over sixty years. In order to preserve these, I do not use them every day but when I bring these out for a special occasion, I am always flooded with memories of her!
Recently I brought out her bridge party tablecloth. Mimi, my grandmother, was an avid bridge player and played twice a week. I had so much fun setting my tabletop and mixing my Hen House linens with her vintage cloth. It was if new life was breathed into her tablecloth! As new friends gather around the table, this fresh table scape allows me to continue my Mimi's gracious living traditions in a modern way!
