Recently, Mother decided to "downsize" her vast Christmas ornament collection. I was bestowed with a set of vintage glass ornaments that once graced the faux silver tree of her wacky Aunt Maude. Visions dance in my head of Aunt Maude flitting about her Manhatten pied-a-terre preparing for a fabulous holiday gathering in kitten heels, a bejeweled turban and a cigarette holder. Inspired by those delicate decorations and the dame who owned them, Ornamental Scarlet feels retro yet modern and is sure to put everyone in the Christmas spirit.
