A Bewitching Halloween Table | Hen House Linens Style

Halloween entertaining doesn’t have to be all cobwebs and cauldrons - sometimes the best kind of spooky is playful, colorful, and a little bit fun! This year, we set a festive table using Hen House Linens and the whimsical witch hat napkin fold, creating a setup that’s equal parts stylish and fun.

The Witch Hat Napkin Fold. The star of the table is the witch hat napkin fold, perched atop each plate like a magical surprise for guests. Each napkin was folded into a tall, pointy hat and tied with ribbon. To give it even more Halloween flair, we tucked in playful details - like little spiders - to make the scene pop.

Every setting features a different Hen House napkin pattern, and when paired with bold placemats and a lively tablecloth, the result is a mix-and-match look that still feels cohesive.

Spellbinding Details

  • Tablecloth & Placemats: A fresh latticework grass green print is the base layer, topped with reversible quilted placemats in bold fern orange and linked-up ivy green patterns.
  • Centerpiece: A cheerful bouquet of yellow and orange blooms arranged in a “Poison Apples” container - proof that Halloween décor can be both spooky and chic.
  • Candles & Glassware: Orange taper candles in vintage silver holders and green glass champagne coupes by Estelle Colored Glass add a sophisticated touch.
  • Playful Touches: Candy corn and candy pumpkins in For Pete's Sake Pottery pieces add additional color and fun to the table.

Together, these details create a table that’s inviting for adults but still fun enough for the kids.

A Witchy Cocktail: The Blackberry Bewitcher 🍸🖤

Every spellbinding table deserves an equally enchanting drink. Try this witch-inspired cocktail:

  • 1 oz blackberry liqueur (like Chambord)
  • ½ oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz simple syrup
  • Club soda
  • Blackberries + lime wheel, for garnish

Directions:

  1. In a shaker, combine vodka, blackberry liqueur, lime juice, and simple syrup with ice.
  2. Shake until chilled, then strain into a goblet or coupe glass.
  3. Top with a splash of club soda for a little fizz.
  4. Garnish with fresh blackberries and a lime wheel.

It’s dark, moody, and perfectly witchy!

A Spooky Appetizer: Mummy Brie Bites 🧟

Ingredients:
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 small wheel of brie (or brie bites)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Candy eyes (or sliced black olives for eyes)
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the puff pastry into thin strips.
  3. If using a large wheel of brie, cut into small wedges.
  4. Wrap pastry strips around each piece of brie in a crisscross pattern, leaving little gaps to resemble mummy “bandages.”
  5. Brush lightly with egg wash.
  6. Bake 12–15 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
  7. Add candy eyes (or olive slices) once cooled slightly.
Serve warm for the ultimate gooey, spooky snack!
