While the race may only be two minutes, the party can last all day! Dress up, get creative with your fancy hats and create a menu filled with Derby favorites. Here are three easy party ideas to elevate your Derby party.
- Roses are the obvious choice for florals to keep with the "Run for the Roses" derby theme and we put a twist on this with our rose napkin display. Just roll your favorite napkins in a tight roll and layer in a silver bowl. Add fresh greenery for a festive touch!
- Incorporate mint julep cups in a variety of ways for the party. Use to serve juleps, display floral arrangements or on your buffet to hold mint, straws or silverware. I love to thrift for these pretty pieces (ones with monograms are my favorite) or you can order from amazon.
- Don't forget the hats! These make great decor throughout your party. Buy a variety of sizes and colors and display on a wreath, at each placesetting or along the edge of your table. Add a few flowers and a bow for a little extra!
