Build a simple hot chocolate charcuterie board - Hen House Linens

Build a simple hot chocolate charcuterie board

The first step with creating your Hot Cocoa Charcuterie Board - select your tray or platter. We found this wood board in a reindeer shape at WalMart - great price point and perfect size!

Next up, select your toppings. You can use just about anything sweet but these are our favorites.

  • Marshmallows: These are a must for hot cocoa. We like to add a few different types of marshmallows. Mini, flavored, peppermint, chocolate are great options!
  • Candy Canes: Mini, regular size, hooked and straight.
  • Peppermint: Sticks, rounds, hard and soft
  • Chocolate Chips: Mini, semi-sweet, white, and dark chocolate
  • Cinnamon Sticks: These make great stirrers!
  • Candy: We are partial to M&Ms but any chocolate candies work well.
  • Peppermint Bark: You can crumble or serve whoel.
  • Pirouette Rolled Wafer Cookies: Also great stirrers!
  • Ground Cinnamon: For sprinkling on top.
  • For Adults: Bailey's Irish Cream, Jackson Morgan Whiskey Cream, and other flavored liquors.

Select a variety of sizes and textures to build your board. We like to work in small, colorful bowls, add larger cookies/treats, and fill in open areas with marshmallows and small candies. Group like items together and don't be afraid to add more ... more is more with a charcuterie board!

Don't forget your coordinating table linens! We included candy cane nouveau pinks and our festive midnight vixen pattern.
